TIPS FOR FURNISHING A CHILDREN`S ROOM
“My room” is a phrase with which, according to psychologists, children express their desire to have a personal space and begin to perceive such place.
Furnishing a children's room is one of the most fun and enjoyable activities, but not such an easy task. The distribution of light, air, convenience and functionality must be thought out in such a way as to match the personality of the child, his or her tastes and hobbies.
The children's room should be planned in such a way that a child’s physical and mental development occurs correctly.
Proper space planning
It is desirable to divide the room into several zones - for sleeping, playing and studying. For zoning, decorative shelves, a sofa, a bed or a carpet are used. It all starts with measuring the room, and then the arrangement of furniture.
Sleep
The sleeping area is the most important space because restful sleep is a major determinant of mental and physical health. You should make the corner calm and cozy. It is recommended to place a lamp and your child's favorite decor items near the bed. Behind the bed you can hang a colorful picture.
Playing
Playing develops the child no less than learning - the adaptation of roles leads to the acquisition and honing of various skills. When determining the play area, consider what your child likes: Whether she/he is a mother, scientist, astronaut, Spiderman, doctor or teacher. Whether she/he plays Lego, hide and seek, or listens to music.
Instead of standard furniture in the play area, it is better to use soft pillows, this will give children more space, and parents - a sense of security.
Learning
Learning in childhood requires special efforts and habituation. This space should be such that it creates a mood of learning and cognition. Here you will need shelves and storage for books, notebooks and school attributes. Globe, magnifying glass, maps encourage children to discover. As for sitting at a desk, in this position the child should make an angle of 90 degrees, this is necessary for his correct physical formation.
Lighting in the room
Lighting should correspond to the biological rhythm of a child. For a children's room, one central chandelier is not enough, you definitely need a pin-up lamp above the bed, and a work lamp on the table. If you decide to buy an apartment in m² projects, you will see that in each room, depending on its size and shape, the lighting points and the placement of the bed and sleeping place are always correctly planned.
Purposeful design
After finishing the layout of the room, proceed to the choice of colors. A child must believe that the room is arranged according to his/her desire, and with your participation you only help him/her.
In the children's room, designers use pastel and warm colors. You can also use one wall decor, that is, separate the wall with a relatively dark, different tone. This is the approach we offer our residents when arranging their rooms.
And finally, which room to choose for a child?
When choosing, there are several points that deserve attention.
For a children's room, it is preferable to choose a sunny side, with a bathroom next to the room.
