m² - general partner of Culture Week Tbilisi
Starting from May 9 through May 12, Factory Tbilisi will be hosting one of the largest international cultural events - “Culture Week Tbilisi”. This season is dedicated to Europe days and aims at raising awareness on history and culture of Georgia.
Culture Week Tbilisi unites artists, painters, musicians, film directors, as well as influential representatives of the press and art. More than 30 local and international artists will be participating in “Culture Week Tbilisi”. Their works will be exhibited in different dedicated spaces at Factory Tbilisi.
To cover this event, up to 50 international guests from around the globe will be traveling to Tbilisi - Forbes USA, The Guardian, SouthChina Morning Post, Washington Post, Elle Japan, madame Figaro Japan, GQ Japan. m² initiates Collaboration Project
m², in collaboration with Georgian brands is now launching a new project.
In the scope of the project, Georgian brands inspired by new slogan of the m² - “Live Your Own Life” will produce new collection and any interested person will be able to purchase desired items. This collection will include items and accessories, which are used in daily life, including: t-shirts, laptop bags, smart phone cases, suitcases, passport covers, kimonos and others.
At the current stage, 7 Georgian brands participate in the project: GIOVANNI MORRA, CARPETERIA, CASY, FUNDUKI, LOVESTARS, NINEA and MATTERS. Some of the brands are still working on the new collection, and some have already completed their works.
The website dedicated to the project will be created, where collection created in the scope of the collaboration will be available. The items will be available for purchase at partner companies’ websites or stores. Demonstration versions of the collection will be displayed at m² sales offices, where customers will be able to see the collection in real life.
“The idea of collaboration was born upon introduction of new platform for the brand, and was brought into life last year, during Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi. The new slogan “Live Your Own Life” was effectively integrated in the collection of designer Tako Mekvabidze. The main goal initially was and currently is to bring the slogan words closer to the customers. The products of our customers are used in daily life, and we aim the same, we want to remind people “Live Your Own Life,” live like no one else did. On the other stages of the project different Georgian brands will be involved, and collection created on the “Live Your Own Life” theme will become even more diverse.

ZEG - Tbilisi Storytelling Festival was held in Tbilisi
Tbilisi hosted the region's first international storytelling festival - ZEG - Tbilisi Storytelling Festival, which was founded by Impact Hub Tbilisi and Coda Story in 2019.
The festival included panel discussions, sessions, film screenings, workshops, city tours and informal events. Festival guests had the opportunity to experience both traditional and innovative methods of storytelling and get inspiration for their own work.
Film, media, photography, education, literature, entrepreneurship, environmental protection and technology were among the areas of discussion during the three-day festival.
Around 60 professionals from different countries and sectors took part in the festival.
American actor Sean Penn paid a special visit to Tbilisi for the festival and closed the event.
This year ZEG hosted the European Press Prize ceremony, which is one of the biggest events in the media sphere.

Collaborative Project of m² and Designer Tako Mekvabidze on Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi
On May 4-8, the 17ᵗʰ season of the international Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi was held at Factory Tbilisi, where local and international designers presented their 2023-2024 fall/winter collections.
The goal of the project was development and promotion of the Georgian fashion across the country and abroad. Over fifty international guests from the fashion capitals of the world, including critics, buyers, journalists and editors of prominent publications attended Mercedes-Benz FashionWeek Tbilisi.
m² was the primary sponsor of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week TBILISI this year.
As a part of the partnership, Tako Mekvabidze, a designer participating Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week TBILISI presented clothes and accessories inspired by m²'s new message - "Live your own life".
"The key inspiration of my collection arevarious women professionals. Trying to highlight strengths of the woman,I based the silhouettes of the suits on the male model. Collaboration with m² proved to be very interesting. The renewed slogan of the company became a sources of my inspiration. A music concert in the residential building m² at Hippodrome
If you cannot go to a concert, a concert will come to you - m² hosted a musical project created by this concept #musicbyyourwindows in the residential building m² at Hippodrome.
The residents of m² were able to listen to Nikoloz Rachveli, the National Symphony Orchestra, and loved vocalists right from their balconies.
We would like to thank the artists’ union ConceptArt, which opened its season from our yard and we were granted an opportunity to have our share in organizing such an amazing event.

m² gifted an apartment to the Tabatadzeebi family with 9 children
2020 was different, as we spent this time caring for complete strangers. We learned a lesson from the challenges, which reminded us to cherish what we have.
Considering current events, doing kindness, showing social responsibility is of high importance. Thus, we have carried a number of charity events during recent months and we are planning on continuing in future.
2021 was started by taking care of others. On behalf of our employees, partners, and residents, we brought happiness to the Tabatadzeebi family with 9 children. We gifted them with a 130 sq.m. apartment in the m² project "m² Chkondideli".
Miracles happen when we care for each other. The main message of New Year is to care for each other inside and outside as well.

m² provided food to 1,000 vulnerable families
m² supported the Tbilisi City Hall initiative and delivered food to 1,000 socially vulnerable families. These activities were carried out in the context of the pandemic as part of the program to support the socially vulnerable aged people, living alone in Tbilisi. The General Director of "m² Group", Shota Berekashvili, the mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, and the deputy mayor of Tbilisi, Ilia Eloshvili, were acquainted with the process of product acquisition and packing.
m² supports the government from the first days of the confirmation of Coronavirus in the country and has carried out a number of activities, including transferring 100,000 GEL to the special fund against COVID-19.
"We believe that in such a serious period of the country all business companies will support the government and the people and do their best. We have therefore always been very enthusiastic about such challenges, especially when it comes to supporting socially vulnerable people. Today, on the initiative of the Mayor’s Office, we have delivered food to 1,000 socially vulnerable families, and we are glad that we have managed to improve their lives at least slightly. m² always supports the country and people and will do so in the future whenever necessary" – stated the General Director of "m² Group" - Shota Berekashvili.

m² Development" will allocate 100,000 GEL to overcome COVID-19
Today’s world and our country are facing a huge challenge that requires special care of each other.
100,000 GEL obtained from sales of the new district - "m³ Saburtalo" will be transferred for the purposes to overcome COVID-19.
"Today, during such a hard time for our country and the world, we all have a duty to demonstrate our public responsibility to protect each other.
The fight against Coronavirus is not only a medical responsibility. They are on the front lines, and supporting them is our common responsibility. And for that very reason – to overcome the virus, "m² Development" will allocate 100,000 GEL, for health care activities of our citizens and for saving their lives“ – stated the General Director of "m² Development" – Nikoloz Medzmariashvili.

"m² Group" started the construction of suspended projects of “Sveti”
On March 11, the construction works on-site at Mirtskhulava Street has been started by "m² Group". The first working day was opened by the mayor of Tbilisi, Kakhi Kaladze, the event was attended by representatives of Tbilisi City Hall, the initiative group "m² Group" and the suffered residents of “Sveti”.
The construction works on the remaining facilities of “Sveti” will be resumed on a staged basis. Thereby, after five years of waiting, the reality of many people has been changed radically, and now, through this process, they are the future residents of "m² Group". This is the final purpose of the agreement indeed, signed between the "m² Group" and the Tbilisi City Hall. As a result, up to 2,500 affected families will receive their apartments within the agreed deadline.

In order to complete the constructions, the "m² Group" will undertake the liabilities on constructions of three suspended projects of “Sveti” located in Tbilisi (Mirtskhulava Street No.9-11, Nutsubidze Street No.125A, Chkondideli street No.22).
The investment value of the project is 250,000,000 GEL and is fully funded by the "m² Group" and the construction and engineering works of the buildings will be implemented by “BK Construction”, the construction company of "m² Group".

On November 7, the development of a new direction in the tourism sector and the plans of “m² Group” in the real estate market were discussed at the press conference held at the construction site of Kempinski Hotel. Landscaping
On October 10, the development company "m² Real Estate" together with the Tbilisi City Hall Environmental Protection Service, planted about 500 trees on the right and left banks of the river Mtkvari in the frame of the landscaping campaign. The event was attended by m² staff, craftsmen of the construction company BK Construction, rugby players, UN Women representatives, and journalists.
The participants in the campaign landscaped an additional territory of 1 hectare in the city. Silver Atlas and Himalayan cedars, as well as some leafy trees, were planted. By request of m², the Tbilisi Botanical Garden and the company “Magnolia” will take care of them, and the trees will then be transferred to the Tbilisi City Hall.
In the company, they say that the essence of this campaign is not only planting trees but also together with the experts selecting purposefully and functionally correct varieties of trees for the city. That is why it became necessary to collaborate with experienced suppliers and specialists at the Tbilisi Botanical Garden. As a result of consulting with them and the Tbilisi City Hall Environmental Protection Service, the varieties of suitable trees and landscaping locations were selected. The current campaign is a kind of continuation of the Mtatsminda Slope Landscaping Project.
The largest landscaping campaign undertaken by m² in 2017 is to restore 26,000 square meters of the area destroyed by wildfires on the Mtatsminda slope. The company has fully ensured the rehabilitation of the landscape damaged by the fire, the restoration of the green cover and its further maintenance. Now, there are 3000 plants of eight species there, the irrigation system is in place, the damaged plants are periodically replaced, the soil is loosened, the mineral fertilizers are added and the irrigation is carried out. In the near future, the company plans to landscape the territory of 10 hectares across the city.

m² Real Estate will complete the construction of “Sveti”
On September 11, the memorandum of cooperation was signed between Tbilisi Municipality and the development company “m² Real Estate”.
Within the framework of the said document, the parties expressed their readiness, within their competence, to support the fulfillment of the obligations to the population affected by the construction company “Sveti” through completing the unfinished construction.
For the purpose of completing the construction, m² will take over the three suspended projects of “Sveti” located in Tbilisi (Mirtskhulava street # 9-11, Nutsubidze Street # 125a, Chkondideli street # 22).
All three projects currently comprise 30 residential blocks. Up to 2,500 residents expect their apartments in the mentioned complexes. Multilateral negotiations initiated by the Tbilisi City Hall and m² have already been completed and the contracts with “Sveti” companies and landowners have been concluded.
The investment cost of the project amounts to GEL 250 000 000 and is fully funded by m². BK Construction, the construction company of m² with 26 years of experience, will carry out the construction and engineering direction of the facilities.
m² is ready to commence the construction works as soon as all the prerequisites stipulated in the contract with "Sveti" are fulfilled. In particular, the construction will begin as soon as the project agreement and the construction permits are obtained. The construction will be completed within three years from obtaining the permits.

UNICEF’s Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia Afshan Khan visited a specialized family type house for children with severe and deep disorders.

Discussion about the details of the hotel project will continue as part of the city’s general plan. Construction of the hotel, as well as the implementation of other new architectural projects, will be possible after the approval of the General Land Use Plan for the City of Zugdidi.

m² Inaugurates the Construct2 Civil Engineering College
m² Real Estate has inaugurated the Construct2 civil engineering college. The official ceremony was attended by representatives from m², BK Construction, local government bodies and the media. The project aims to train professionals for the construction sector and help create jobs.
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Genadi Arveladze.
Construct2 represents a joint project by the Georgian Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports and the development firm m². Its total investment value is GEL 3 million.
Each year, the college will train up to 600 certified specialists through 11 short-term professional programmes, as well as labour safety and environmental technology specialists through the state programme. As part of the project, the college will provide employment for up to 50 academic and up to 30 administrative staff.
The civil engineering college, which will admit its first batch of students in 2019, represents an m² corporate social responsibility project, which aims to develop the construction sector by strengthening education, as well as help create jobs for the local population. The college will provide young people with the opportunity to channel their potential in the right direction and establish themselves as professionals in their field.
"We will do everything to ensure that our students attain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience at the highest level, and establish themselves as a leading workforce on the labour market. We firmly believe that our college will soon become an internationally significant institution of professional learning. This will significantly encourage the students who are interested in civil engineering and stimulate development of this sector in Georgia,” stated m²’s Director General Irakli Burdiladze.
Construct2 was co-founded by BK Construction (known as BK Capital prior to rebranding), which became an m² subsidiary company in 2017 upon deciding to focus on construction management.

m² Presents the Ramada Kutaisi Hotel Project
m² has presented a new hotel project in Kutaisi, based on which it intends to sign an agreement with the Wyndham Hotel Group to operate the aforementioned property under the Ramada Kutaisi brand.
The presentation ceremony was attended by representatives from m²’s partner organisations, local and central government, as well as the media.
The Ramada brand is part of the Wyndham Hotel Group, which is the world’s largest hotel network, operating 9100 properties in 80 countries under 21 brands.
The new hotel will be built in the centre of Kutaisi, near the White Bridge. The 125-room property will stand out through its interior and panoramic views. The total investment value of the project is GEL 30 million. Up to 250 people will be employed in the process of building and operating the hotel. The project is due to be completed in the final quarter of 2020.
The project will ensure the new international hotel’s historic and architectural compatibility with the surroundings.
“Due to its unique sights, Kutaisi is an attractive destination both for local and foreign tourists. It has a great potential for further development in this area. A new international hotel brand in the centre of Kutaisi, which will satisfy all modern standards, will not only help enhance tourism, but also create jobs for the local population. We believe that such a large-scale investment is highly significant for the economic development of the region as a whole. The concept of the project is part of m²’s corporate social responsibility policy,” stated m²’s Director General Irakli Burdiladze.

Presentation of the New Hotel Project Concept in Telavi by m2 Real Estate
The event was held at Telavi Vazha Pshavela State Drama Theater (Erekle II Ave. 7). m2 partner organizations, local and central government officials and media attended the official presentation of the Project.
The company plans to construct the new hotel in Telavi by dismantling the old and currently non-functional building on the territory of the hotel "Introurist". The project will focus on the historic value of the area, its functional part and architectural compatibility with Telavi.
"We have made a thorough analysis of all materials from architectural as well as historic point of view. For many years, the hotel Intourist was a nonfunctional structure, however, the unique and historic wine cellar of the Vakhvakishvili family will be retained with our efforts, it will acquire a new life and will continue functioning under its historic title, which will be an important factor for tourism development or history preservation" – says Irakli Burdiladze, m2 general director.
New, state-of-art and modern standard hotel concept will be based on the wine and gastronomy topic. Italian architect Michele De Luca will also consider architectural compatibility of the hotel with the city (low building and visual characteristics). The architectural model preserves the Vakhvakhishvili Castle concept. The hotel will have 130 rooms with exquisite interior and views, 2 swimming pools, restaurants and what’s more important, the Vakhvakhishvilis Wine Cellar, which will return us to the history. Total value of the investment is 40 million GEL. Up to 140 people will be employed on the hotel construction and more than 150 locals as an operating staff. Project will complete in the first quarter of 2021.

Vazha Pshavela reading room was opened in the National Library with the support of m²
Vazha Pshavela reading room and a new registration space was opened in the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia. Their creating was financed by „m² Real Estate“ company. The reading room will feature rare editions of Vazha Pshavela’s works, which will add a museum function to the room.
The memorandum for creation of the Vazha Pshavela reading room was signed between „m² Real Estate“ company and National Parliamentary Library of Georgia on April 7 of the previous year. A new registration area for the National Library was also created as a part of memorandum, where the library visitors will be able to receive their library passes in a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere.
“We are glad that new space, the Vazha Pshavela reading room was added to the National Library, with our support. Visitors will be able to read in a cozy and comfortable environment and have access to rare editions of the brilliant author. It should also be noted, that with support of m² the National Library will have a new registration area” – said the general director of m² Irakli Burdiladze.

The First Stage of Mtatsminda Hill Rehabilitation Successfully Completed
„m² Real Estate“ company and Giga Gigashvili, head of Environmental Protection Service of Tbilisi Municipality announced completion of the first stage of rehabilitation works of Mtatsminda hill destroyed by fire. m² conducted a green activity on that day, which included planting of bushes on the territory. Employees of “Mtatsminda Park” administration and company “Dio” took part in the activity, as well as students of the Georgian International University.
The first stage of rehabilitation and reforestation of Mtatsminda slope financed by „m² Real Estate“ included building terraces and tracks on the area of 26 000 sq. m., planting 3 000 units of 8 varieties of plants and installation of irrigation systems. These works, conducted by “National Building Enterprise” which won the tender, were completed successfully. The next stage, based on a project by specialists of the National Botanical Garden includes care and protection of the territory, will also be financed by „m² Real Estate“.
The goal of rehabilitation and reforestation project of the Mtatsminda fire-destroyed hill was to create a biodiverse and self-replenishing environment on the territory. This project conducted by m² received the main CSR prize of the year.

A Kakheti children’s tournament, „m² Cup“ was held in Telavi
On June 21, 2018, a children’s football tournament among teams from Kakheti region was held in Telavi, organized by "m² real estate" and football club "Telavi". 8 teams made up of 11-12 years old players took part in the "m² cup" - the teams were from Telavi, Akhmeta, Kvareli, Gurjaani, Lagodekhi, Sighnaghi, Sagarejo and Dedoplistskaro. The tournament was held Givi Chokheli Telavi stadium.
In the course of the tournament, along with the top three teams, the best goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, forward, the top scorer, the best player and coach of the tournament were selected. Following a series of penalties, the third place was won by a team from Akhmeta, in battle for the first place children's teams from Gurjaani and Telavi played each other. Gurjaani team won the final game and became the owner of the "m² cup".
The "m² real estate" company became the general sponsor of football club "Telavi" since March 1, 2018. One of the main directions of m²’s corporation social responsibility popularization of healthy lifestyle and support of local sports clubs. m² goal is to assist the Telavi soccer club to seek new talents and to advance in the premier league.

World Environment Day and Installation of the 50th EV Charger
“m² Real Estate“ celebrated the World Environment Day by installing the city’s 50th electric vehicle (EV) charger, which was gifted to the residents of the m² at Tamarashvili complex.
m² is the general partner of the firm E-Space, and funds the establishment of infrastructure for electric vehicles across the country. The ‘More Oxygen for the City’ campaign aims to install 100 EV chargers in Georgia, thereby promoting ecologically clean means of transport in the country.
In accordance with its corporate social responsibility, m² also promotes the use of electric scooters. Last year, 45 new residents were gifted electric scooters, which require no fuel, do not constitute a source of air pollution, and are completely noise-free.
At the start of the ‘More Oxygen for the City’ campaign, there were only 50 electric vehicles registered in the country. At present, their number already exceeds 1000. EV chargers will be gradually installed in each residential complex and gifted to the residents.

The inaugural m² Rugby Festival takes place at Lelo Arena
Organised by m² Real Estate, the inaugural children’s rugby festival took place at the Lelo Arena. A total of 8 teams composed of 11 and 12 year old players took part in the festival, including Lelo, Akademia, Armazi, Kharebi, Tbilisi, Tsikara and Vepkhvebi. Lelo were crowned as tournament champions.
m² Real Estate has been supporting Georgian club rugby since 2017, when the company began sponsoring one of the country’s oldest and most successful club sides, the Lelo Saracens. The m² Rugby Festival took place for the first time, and the company has announced that it intends to turn the tournament into an annual event.

m² Real Estate purchases a hotel in Gudauri
m² Real Estate has announced the purchase of a hotel in the winter resort of Gudauri. The company is investing a total of $7.2 million in the project, which is still under construction. The 134-room hotel will be completed by m² Real Estate’s construction company BK Construction.
The hotel plans to welcome its first guests at the start of the winter season in December 2018. Hotel network development represents one of m²’s main strategic priorities. The company has announced plans to add up to 1000 new hotel rooms to the domestic market over the next three years.
“I am delighted to announce that m² will be represented in one of Georgia’s premier resorts of Gudauri, offering holidaymakers the usual comfortable environment and high-quality service. This is an important development both for our company and for Gudauri itself,” states the Director General of m² Real Estate, Irakli Burdiladze.

Reforestation of the Mtsatsminda Plateau has begun
The first stage of reforestation process of the wildfire-damaged Mtatsminda plateau has begun. The company “m² Real Estate,” which is funding the aforementioned project, held a tree-planting session on the plateau, which involved volunteers from the general population, as well as employees of various organisations.
In order to maximize the engagement of the volunteers, m² established the platform www.gaamtsvane.ge. The website provides detailed information about the Mtatsminda plateau reforestation project (both past and future activities). The platform will also notify users about all the activities where volunteers can become involved.
Employees of the Mtatsminda Park Administration and the Georgian Social Workers’ Association, as well as ordinary citizens, have become involved in m²’s reforestation project.
The Mtatsminda plateau reforestation project, which was prepared by specialists from the National Botanical Garden of Tbilisi on behalf of m², aims to fully reforest a 26 000 m2 section of the plateau and create a biodiverse environment on the said area.

EU highlights energy efficient construction project in Tbilisi
During her visit to Georgia, Ms. Katarina Mathernova, Deputy Director-General, DG NEAR, European Commission, visited a large-scale energy efficiency project implemented by the real estate developer m². The project was financed by the International Finance Corporation and the Green for Growth Fund, and supported by the EU. It is one of many EU-supported energy efficiency initiatives in Georgia.
The visit examined the measures m² is able to implement in the buildings due to the support, which include improved building insulation, modern boilers and appliances, and better insulated windows and doors. For the apartments constructed as part of this initiative, the total expected annual savings of CO2 are equal to planting 210,000 trees each year.
Speaking on behalf of the EU, Ms Mathernova noted: “The cheapest energy is the one you do not consume. As Georgia’s economy continues to grow, it is imperative to cut down energy use and harmful emissions, brining concrete financial benefits to the peoples, increasing their quality of life and climate protection. This is exactly what the EU, together with partners from International Financial Institutions, is helping to achieve in Georgia. We were here a year ago to launch discussions with the Government and other stakeholders on how to advance reforms enabling investment boost in energy efficiency. I am glad to be back to map out concrete steps with the government and development partner on this, but also to see that we are already on track in delivering benefits of energy efficiency to the citizens, as this project shows.”
m²’s Deputy General Director, Shorena Darchiashvili stated: "Since 2014, m² has been setting the standards for building energy-efficient complexes in Georgia. Caring for the environment is a key part of our corporate social responsibility. By constructing energy-efficient complexes, our company is saving a significant amount of resources.”
Green For Growth Director Olaf Zymelka, who accompanied Mrs Mathernova on the visit, stated: “The GGF has supported energy efficient buildings in Georgia since 2014 and the m² project is a prime example of the fund’s commitment to energy savings and CO2 reductions in the country. We are very pleased that the European Commission, a long-standing partner of the fund, is on site to visit this project and further show their support of the fund’s work to enhance energy efficiency and foster renewable energy.”
In order to benefit from the GGF and EU support, m² was required to develop apartment buildings at least 20% more efficient than those built to standard Georgian construction practices. In return they received a USD 11.5 million loan, which took first risks for the investment, making it easier to raise capital from other lenders. The GGF also provided technical assistance to conduct energy audits and identify the most efficient manner to meet high energy standards.

m² Becomes General Sponsor of FC Telavi
The company “m² Real Estate” has become the general sponsor of Football Club Telavi. The agreement was signed today by CEO of m², Irakli Burdiladze, and FC Telavi’s Director General, Irakli Vashakidze. The event was attended by the Georgian Football Federation President, Levan Kobiashvili, and the Mayor of Telavi, Shota Nareklishvili.
Promotion of healthy lifestyle and supporting local sports clubs forms a key aspect m²’s corporate social responsibility. The company aims to help FC Telavi source new talent and achieve promotion to the top division.

m² Real Estate Receives the 2018 Social Responsibility Award
“m² Real Estate” has become the recipient of the 2018 Social Responsibility Award. The company emerged victorious in the Successful Partnership for Sustainable Development category. The project which received the award involves reforestation of the Mtatsminda plateau damaged by wildfires, creating a biodiverse and self-renewable environment, and conducting an educational campaign.
As part of the project, m² will finance the planting of up to 3000 trees and looking after them for a period of 3 years. Furthermore, the company, together with partner NGOs, is implementing a fire prevention campaign in schools, as well as a fire risk reduction campaign in residential complexes.
The Corporate Social Responsibility Awards took place in Georgia for the first time. The event was initiated by the CSR Club and UN Global Compact Network Georgia. A total of 23 projects were presented and assessed by a jury consisting of local and international professionals. Awards were presented in three categories. Apart from m², winners included APM Terminals Poti and Natakhtari.

m² Opens the Ramada Tbilisi Encore Hotel
The newly opened Ramada Encore Tbilisi is the first hotel by the international brand Ramada in Georgia. Ramada is part of the world’s largest hotels group Wyndham Worldwide. In 2017, it was named the Fastest Growing Hotel Brand in Europe.
The Ramada Encore Tbilisi Hotel project belongs to "m² Real Estate". The hotel is located on 15 Al. Kazbegi Avenue. It was opened by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia, Dimitri Kumsishvili, and CEO of m², Irakli Burdiladze.
The 152-room Ramada Encore Tbilisi Hotel includes modern, comfortable rooms, a health centre, restaurant, lounge bar, and space for business meetings. Most importantly, the hotel will represent the mid-range price segment, for which there is currently the highest demand and lowest supply in Tbilisi.
“I am delighted that by opening Ramada Encore Tbilisi, m² has entered the hotel business and taken an important step in implementing the nationwide project that will create 1000 hotel rooms in the country. Construction of Ramada Encore Tbilisi was funded by the International Finance Corporation. The IFC is a member of the World Bank, and the largest development-oriented international institution supporting the private sector in developing countries.
The company “m² Real Estate” is building another two hotels on Melikishvili Street and Gergeti Street in Tbilisi. Construction of a Ramada hotel is also planned for Kutaisi.
Ramada Encore Tbilisi opens its doors to guests in March.

m² Real Estate’s Construction Company to build a Business and Shopping Centre
m² Real Estate’s construction company BK Construction has signed a large-scale building contract, according to which, the firm is to construct a business and shopping centre in the Saburtalo district. BK Construction will conduct the construction process for a period of 16 months. The overall value of the project is $ 11.6 million.
m² Real Estate’s strategic fields of activity include development of residential complexes and hotels, managing real estate and conducting construction activities.

“m² Real Estate” will help children with autistic spectrum living in Kutaisi
Company “m² Real Estate”, together with Kutaisi City Hall, has announced the company's next corporate social responsibility project. m² will finance the rehabilitation course for children with violation of autistic spectrum living in Kutaisi. Rehabilitation course of 40 beneficiaries with violation of the autistic spectrum will be fully funded during the year in the frames of cooperation between “m² Real Estate” and Kutaisi City Hall. The budget of the social project constitutes 225 000 GEL. 125 000 GEL will be allocated by the Kutaisi budget and 100 000 GEL will be funded by “m² Real Estate”.
Kutaisi Mayor Giorgi Chigvaria, General Director of m² Irakli Burdiladze and Member of Parliament of Georgia, Rati Ionatamishvili introduced the aforementioned initiative to the parents of children with violation of autistic spectrum, at the meeting held today.

We are following this goal in the residential complexes built by us and outside of them. m² strives to contribute to the development of all places where it initiates construction. We want people to live better in our buildings and outside of them. Soon we are starting to build a hotel “Ramada Encore” in Kutaisi. The main directions of corporate social responsibility for m² are environmental care, creation of adapted environment, supporting education and strengthening women. In all these areas, the company carries out significant projects with a total budget of million GEL in 2017.

The simulation of evacuation has been carried out at “m² at Tamarashvili”
The development company m² held a simulation of evacuation on “m² at Tamarashvili” (during the earthquake followed by the fire) together with German International Organization Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB). The residents of the same complex took part in it.
The Emergency Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, police and emergency medical personnel participated in this simulation.
Such training was conducted in the residential complex in Georgia for the first time. It aimed at preventing risks and introducing the population to the behavior standards during disasters.
Cooperation between m² and ASB is oriented on implementing a pilot project in a particular complex of the development company, which includes activities defined by the Disaster Risk Management Program: conducting trainings, dissemination of educational materials for residents, practical activities of disaster risk management in the form of simulation, retraining of m² personnel and establishing special security headquarters. It is important that the Disaster Risk Management Program provides an inclusive approach.
The project is implemented by the international non-governmental organization Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) with the financial support of the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations, within the DIPECHO IV phase of the current project “We are ready! Education for Safety, Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction”.

The company „m² Real Estate“ has signed the biggest Franchising Agreement
The development company “m² Real Estate” has declared about one of the biggest Franchising Agreements. According to the Agreement, “m² Real Estate” will build and develop residential complexes with 3 600 apartments in it under its brand, on the land owned by “Georgian Retail Centers LLC”. As a result of this Agreement, “m² Real Estate” will construct residential area on 190 000 square meters on Kakheti highway in Tbilisi. The project consists of ten stages and the work process will last from four to five years.
The aforementioned Franchising Agreement is an important step towards construction of residential complexes. It also represents a strategic approach of m² - building hotels in Georgia. At present, m² has 3 hotel projects in the project-construction phase, which comprise 400 rooms in total. In the next 2 years, the number of hotel rooms is expected to increase up to thousand.

m² Supports the Renovation of the Public Square on Kazbegi Avenue
Presentation of the renovated public square at 9a Kazbegi Avenue took place in Tbilisi. In accordance with the memorandum signed with the Saburtalo District Board, m² Real Estate financed the rehabilitation and equipment of the public square. The opening ceremony was attended by the Head of the Saburtalo District Board Gaioz Vasadze, city councillor Davit Utmelidze, and Director General of m² Irakli Burdiladze.
The refurbished square includes newly installed benches and lighting, new pavement, a fence that will restrict access for vehicles to the square, as well as a children’s playground.

m² Real Estate Holds a Working Meeting on the Mtatsminda Plateau Reforestation Project
The company m² Real Estate held a working meeting to discuss the Mtatsminda Plateau reforestation project. The event took place in a round table format. The preliminary plan, technical terms and monitoring principles of the restoration works – prepared by the National Botanical Garden of Tbilisi – were discussed with representatives from environmental organisations and the City Hall’s Department of Environmental Protection.
The specifications for works on reforestation of the Mtatsminda plateau will take into account all recommendations expressed during the meeting. Participants included representatives from the City Hall’s Department of Environmental Protection, Ecovision, CENN, REC, the Greens Movement of Georgia, the Institute of Botany of Ilia State University and the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection.
“m² Real Estate” began working on the issue of restoring the Mtatsminda plateau on 9 August, studying the issue and discussing the possible alternatives for restoration with the City Hall, environmental organisations and industry experts. The aim of the project is to fully reforest a 26 000 m2 section of the plateau and create a biodiverse environment on the said area.
The wildfires started on the Mtatsminda Mountain on 8 August 2017, ravaging a 2 ha area. In accordance with its corporate social responsibility policy, “m² Real Estate” committed itself to restoring and subsequently looking after the green cover and landscape on the damaged area.

m² Gallery Hosts International Energy Efficiency Training Week
Tbilisi is hosting the EU4Energy Energy Efficiency Training Week, which is organised by the International Energy Agency. The company “m² Real Estate” welcomed the participants and introduced them to the company’s energy efficiency projects.
Following the presentation, the participants visited the construction site of m²’s energy-efficient complex “m² at Kazbegi 2,” familiarising themselves with the techniques of using energy-efficient materials in the building process.
The training was attended by representatives of governmental and non-governmental organisations, as well as industry specialists.
The training week consists of the following five modules: 1) construction, 2) industry, 3) lighting, electric devices and equipment, 4) transport and 5) energy efficiency statistics. Participants had the opportunity of choosing the module which they regarded as the most appropriate and helpful for themselves.
The training week has been organised by the International Energy Agency, which heads the EU4Energy programme that was designed by the European Union for the benefit of the Eastern Partnership and Central Asian countries – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan (target countries).
The programme aims to help the aforementioned 11 beneficiaries to gather data on saving energy, improve monitoring and capabilities, as well as help each country devise an energy policy tailored to its specific needs.

m² will support opening of a small public garden at Kazbegi Avenue
Memorandum of Understanding was concluded between Saburtalo district municipality and the developer company m². The memorandum aims to arrange a little public garden near Kazbegi #9a on the territory of Saburtalo district.
Beka Mikautadze, Saburtalo district governor and Irakli Burdiladze, director general of m² Real Estate signed the MoU.
There will be swings for children arranged in the public garden and old benches will be replaced with new. Besides, the coating of the square will be totally replaced and new cover will be arranged.

“m² Real Estate” will completely restore the burnt territory on Mtatsminda slope
The company “m² Real Estate” commits itself to restore the landscape and the burnt territory of 20 thousand sq.m. on Mtatsminda slope with green cover. The Director General of the company m² Irakli Burdiladze and Tbilisi Mayor David Narmania introduced the rehabilitation initiative to media representatives today. The event was attended by the representatives of the governmental and non-governmental organizations working in the sphere of environment protection and experts who will be actively involved in the rehabilitation project on Mtstaminda slope.
The company “m² Real Estate” began to work on the restoration of Mtatsminda slope on August 9. At present, the joint work with the City Hall, environmental organizations and experts on the detailed project is in progress. The aim of the project is to completely restore the area of 20 thousand square meters and create a biodiverse environment on the site.
The fire on Mtatsminda mountain started on 8 August 2017. The fire broke out on difficult to access slopes and spread on grass and trees. Approximately 2 hectares of land were destroyed. According to the Corporate Social Responsibility Policy, the company “m² Real Estate” is taking over the reconstruction of a burnt territory on Mtastminda slope, as well as restoration of the green cover, rehabilitation of the landscape and further maintenance.

A new vocational college will be built in Zestaponi
A new vocational educational institution of the construction profile will be built in the municipality of Zestafoni for the purpose of staffing the construction industry with professional employees, as well as assisting to the employment. For this purpose, the Memorandum of Cooperation was concluded between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the Company “m² Real Estate”, signed by the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Ketevan Natriashvili and the General Director of m² Irakli Burdiladze. According to the Memorandum, an agreement was signed between the Ministry and m²’s subsidiary - BK Construction, which implies the foundation of a new vocational educational institution and its development.
The new college will prepare more than 200 students per year by means of dual educational programmes and will offer more than 20 shrot-term vocational courses in engineering. The dormitory on the base of the college will host other residents of the municipality as well. Studies include both theoretical and practical courses that will be conducted on m² sites. Most of the graduates will be employed by m² and its subsidiary BK Construction.
Within the frames of the professional education reform, the access to the vocational education in the regions is to be increased. The teaching quality will be improved by means of the public and private partnership. Promotion of education and employment is one of the main directions for both the Ministry and m², since the Company aims at employing only professionals in their own projects, which, in its turn, will facilitate the establishment of a new vocational college.

Specialized Small Group Home for Children with Special Needs
The company m² Real Estate begins construction of a small group home for the children with special needs under the state care. To celebrate the launch of the construction project, Zaza Sopromadze, the deputy of the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs, Irakli Burdiladze, director general of m² Real Estate, Pier Pherre, UNICEF program manager and Tamar Sirbiladze, head of social development and education unit at USAID laid a symbolic capsule in the construction site.
The construction works are being implemented within the framework of the project Protection of Children with Disabilities carried out by the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs since 2015 under the support of USAID and UNICEF. The project aims to create specialized family type services for children with sever and deep disabilities where they will receive care in a family environment and will be provided with all services necessary for their adequate growth and individual development.
The small group home will be built at Demetre Tavdadebuli street, Didi Digomi, Tbilisi. After completion of the construction and renovation works, seven children with severe form of disability will be moved to live in the house.

m² Master Class for Students
The company m² Real Estate organized a master class for students on the topic – "Harmonious Urban Solution in Modern Construction".
The master class was held at Melikishvili #10, at the site of the planned construction. The students of Georgian Technical University majoring in construction and architecture, interested people from other universities, and also media representatives attended the master class. The main goal of the event was to share the unique practical experience along with theoretical knowledge with future architects. The program was led by Gogothur Misriashvili, expert of architecture and restoration works and Irakli Sharashidze, an architect, author of the project.
The main topic of the master class – "Harmonious Urban Solution in Modern Construction" was the building adaptation model which covered the following issues: architectural synthesis of old and new buildings and preservation of the current appearance, conservation of architectural masterpieces, demonstration of samples, restoration plan and analogues of similar adaptations in the modern architecture. At the master class, the experts presented future functional and economic benefits of the building.
The students and media were allowed to tour the construction site, following all the safety regulations.
Even though the current building at Melikishvili street does not have a status of the historical building, m² is considering the architectural specifications of the building, its integration with other buildings on the street and facilities of the neighborhood and plans to renovate the building without losing its external look and maintain the major details.
m² Real Estate, within its corporate social responsibility policy plans to organize similar master classes for other people who are also interested in the topic. Besides, the company will give the students opportunity to observe the construction and restoration process at various stages to have a full understanding of how this type of projects are implemented. Vazha-Pshavela Museum-Reading Hall at the National Library
National Parliamentary Library of Georgia and m² Real Estate have concluded a memorandum of understanding. The MoU was signed by Giorgi Kekelidze, director general of NPLG and Irakli Burdiladze, director general of m², by which the parties agreed to open a Vazha Pshavela Museum-reading hall at the National Library . m² will fund the construction works for the museum.
This will be a space with a reading hall, museum, students' innovative corner and reception. The concept developed by the National Library and m² aims to make this place one of the major spaces at the National library which will be oriented on youth development.
Vazha-Pshavela museum-reading hall will host various events including public lectures, master classes and presentation of various books.
“In its concept, Vazha-Pshavela Museum-reading Hall will be some kind of a bridge between the traditional and innovative reading halls, like Vazha-Pshavela was himself. Any component of such space will be extremely important and critical for the modern library’’, said Giorgi Kekelidze, director general of the National Library.

‘’More oxygen to the City“ –E-Space and m² Real Estate“ are creating infrastructure for electromobile cars in Georgia
November 25, 2016 – the companies "m² Real Estate" and "E-Space" are announcing the launch of a social campaign "More Oxygen to the City". Within the framework of this campaign, E-Space, under the support of its general partner m² Real Estate will develop an infrastructure for electric vehicles, which means installation of up to 100 charging stations countrywide throughout 2017.
m² Real Estate, within its social responsibility, was always committed to environment protection which was demonstrated by its energy efficient complexes. The company supports the pollution-free and clean air environment and becomes a general partner of E-Space in Georgia in the area of creating a network of electromobile charging stations.

Small Group Home for Children with Disabilities
Developer company m² concluded a memorandum of Understanding on building a small group home for children with disabilities who are deprived of parental care. The house will be fully adapted to the needs of these children. Currently, the project of the small group home has been completed and the company will start construction works from January, 2017. Renovation and refurbishment works of the house will be provided by UNICEF.
Small group home will be built within the framework of the project Protection of Children with Disabilities, carried out by the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs since 2015. A number of important reforms have been carried out within this project with active participation of UNICEF and USAID.

Our new project m² at Chavchavadze

m² at Tamarashvili - The construction works of the complex have been completed two and a half months earlier than scheduled
m² Tamarashvili’ is a 270-flat complex consisting of two 19-floor buildings. The main architectural charm of the complex is that each flat has French windows and doors and a balcony on the facade. The project is distinguished for its green area too – multi-year plants and nice little squares near the buildings. For additional comfort and safety of residents, the complex will have its own security, cleaning and greening services, which will be free for one year. Also, for additional protection, the complex will be equipped with the fire alarm systems of latest international standards, including fire-resistant doors in the entrances.
The complex is 23% energy efficient which will allow the residents to save on utility bills. The owners of flats at Tamarashvili N6 will receive fully renovated flats, which means they will be able to move on the next day after handover. m² announced the launch of the new residential complex project on July 22, 2014. The construction works began in August of the same year and lasted for 22 months. The project m2 at Tamarashvili was funded by International Financial Cooperation and Government of Canada. Total volume of funding was 14 million USD out of which 4 million dollars were provided by Canadian Government specially for construction of multi-apartment energy efficient complexes. High rate of sales allowed the company to repay the loan ahead of the schedule.

At this stage, 75% of apartments are already sold in the complex.
m² at Tamarashvili is the fifth successful project implemented by the company.

საქართველოს შრომის, ჯანმრთელობისა და სოციალური დაცვის სამინისტრომ 2015 წლიდან აქტიური მუშაობა დაიწყო პროექტზე „შეზღუდული შესაძლებლობის მქონე ბავშვთა დაცვა“, რომელსაც ის ამერიკის შეერთებული შტატების საერთაშორისო განვითარების სააგენტოსა და გაეროს ბავშვთა ფონდის დახმარებით ახორციელებს. რეფორმა მოიცავს მძიმე და ღრმა შეზღუდული შესაძლებლობების ან ჯანმრთელობის პრობლემების მქონე ბავშვთათვის სპეციალიზებული საოჯახო ტიპის მომსახურების შექმნას, სადაც შესაძლებელი იქნება ოჯახურ გარემოსთან მაქსიმალურად მიახლოებულ პირობებში მოვლა, აღზრდა და მათი ინდივიდუალური განვითარებისათვის საჭირო სერვისების მიწოდება. რეფორმის გატარებაში სახელმწიფოს გაეროს ბავშვთა ფონდი „UNICEF” და “USAID” ეხმარება. წელს პროექტს დეველოპერული კომპანია m² შემოუერთდა, რომელიც აღნიშნული საოჯახო სახლის მშენებლობას სრულად დააფინანსებს.
გაეროს ბავშვთა ფონდმა მზადყოფნა გამოთქვა, რომ “USAID”-ის დახმარებით 2016 წლის ბოლოსთვის სახელმწიფოს გადასცენ მცირე საოჯახო ტიპის სახლი, რომელიც ადაპტირებული და სრულიად მორგებული იქნება შშმ ბავშვთა საჭიროებებზე. ამ სახლში განთავსდებიან ის ბავშვები, რომლებიც ამ ეტაპზე სახელმწიფო მზრუნველობაში არიან და ნუცუბიძის ქუჩაზე მდებარე ჩვილ ბავშვთა სახლში ცხოვრობენ.

Memorandum of Cooperation signed between TBC Bank and Developer Company m²
From today onwards, the customers of TBC Bank Mortgage Center will be able to buy the apartments of the company m².
The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by Nino Masurashvili, deputy director general of TBC Bank and Irakli Burdiladze, director general of m² Real Estate at TBC Bank Mortgage Center.
The Memorandum will allow the customers to buy a flat in the completed blocks or ongoing constructions of the company m² with the TBC Bank mortgage loan
Currently, the Developer Company m2 offers fully renovated apartments in two energy efficient projects which are already completed: m² at Kazbegi and m² at Nutsubidze and also, apartments in two ongoing constructions at m² Tamarashvili, Optima Isani, m² Hippodrome 2.
Before June 1, m² apartments can be obtained with a special price, e.g. with TBC Bank mortgage, one can buy a fully renovated apartment at m² Hippodrome 2 for as minimum as 350 USD a month and what’s more important, the only collateral required is the apartment to be constructed.

m² Gallery hosting an exhibition of a young Georgian artist Deyko Alugishvili
An exhibition of the young Georgian artist Deyko Alugishvili opened in m² Gallery. Deiko has graduated Tbilisi Art Academy majoring in machine graphics. Along with painting, the young artists creates wooden and enamel jewelry. Her makings have been exhibited in the National Museum, Karvasla and international art festival in New York. The exhibition/fair will last one month.

IFC Supports Affordable Green Housing in Georgia to Spur Broader Growth
IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, is providing a $23 million loan package to a subsidiary of m2 Real Estate to fund green, low-to-middle-income housing in the Georgian capital, helping create jobs and spur economic activity.
Poorly insulated, Soviet-era apartments represent a significant part of Tbilisi’s housing stock, while demand for high-quality affordable housing remains largely unmet. IFC’s loan to m2 Residential LLC, which includes $11.5 million mobilized from the Green for Growth Fund, Southeast Europe (GGF), will finance around 1,800 apartments, which are expected to increase the efficient use of energy, water, and materials to reduce negative impacts on health and the environment.
“This partnership with IFC has helped us complete the first stage of our strategy to provide quality housing in Tbilisi,” said Irakli Burdiladze, Chairman, m2 Real Estate. “As one of the leading Georgian development companies, we are committed to continue to improve living standards for Georgian families.”
Jan van Bilsen, IFC Regional Manager for the South Caucasus, said: “IFC’s financing continues to set a standard for developing energy efficient buildings, fostering competition in the housing sector. In addition to improving people’s living standards, the project is expected to create jobs through local procurement during and after construction, contributing to economic development.”
Christopher Knowles, Chairman of the Green for Growth Fund, Southeast Europe, said: “With the support provided to m2 Residential LLC in partnership with IFC, we demonstrate our continued commitment to energy savings and the reduction of CO2 in Georgia,” says “The housing projects of M2 Residential LLC achieve an estimated 40% energy savings compared to similar-sized new buildings in the Georgian market, demonstrating the demand for high quality, green buildings.”
m2 Real Estate aims to build more than 2,000 new apartments by the end of 2018. In 2013, IFC provided the company with a revolving loan of $14 million, including $4 million from the IFC-Canada Climate Change Program, to help develop Georgia’s first energy efficient, affordable housing projects.
Since Georgia became an IFC member in 1995, IFC has provided more than $1 billion in long-term financing, including $362 million mobilized from partners, supporting 52 projects across various sectors. In addition, IFC has supported trade worth nearly $300 million through its trade finance program, and implemented a number of advisory projects focused on private sector development.

m² at Nutsubidze, the construction has been completed
The residential complex is 23 percent energy efficient, which allows householders to reduce utility costs. Fully renovated apartments are handed in to the residents, where they will be able to enjoy the Italian kitchen with a built-in oven and an exhaust hood. All apartments are renovated according to the requests of the tenants.

The complex infrastructure includes a two-storey parking area for 86 vehicles, an internal yard with the sport playground, and areas for children and recreation. The residential complex provides for a 24-hour security and services, such as cleaning of entrances, as well as landscaping maintenance services, the costs of which will be covered by the company for the first year.
For additional safety reasons, m² at Nutsubidze is equipped by the fire alarm systems in compliance with international standards. Development company m2 will allocate GEL 150 000 for the victims of Tbilisi Flood

On May 29, developer company m² participated in the Real Estate forum taking place in Westminster, London. The company was presented to the forum as one of the leading and successful companies in the real estate sector of Georgia. One more planting event from m²
On April 2, m² staff did the planting at the place intended for construction of the square near the artists’ settlement, on Nutsubidze Plateau in Tbilisi and planted 100 trees. The plant species were selected according to the recommendations of the dendrologist, taking into account the local terrain and climatic conditions and with the approval of the Ecology and Planting Department of the City Hall.
The following seedlings have been planted: Cedar (25 saplings), Elder Pine Trees (25 saplings), Cypress Trees (25 saplings), Almond (15 saplings), Lilac Trees (5 saplings) and Ash Trees (5 saplings).
In addition, m² will finance and take care of the plants during 1 year, which will be done by the professional agronomists.
One of the main directions of m²'s corporate social responsibility strategy is environment protection. That is why m2 always takes care of the greenery at its residential complexes and other territories.

m² has issued bonds in the amount of mln.20 USD
m² Real Estate has issued bonds in the amount of mln. 20 USD. For the past 12 months, the customers of m² have had a great opportunity for the third time to invest their own free financial resources in the m² bonds and, consequently, better manage their money. The abovementioned 2-year bonds are denominated in USD and offer our customers a high annual interest rate as of 9.5% (before taxes), which will be paid off twice a year (every 6 months). m² has paid off the IFC funding
m² has announced the repayment of the loan obtained from the International Financial Corporation (IFC) ahead of the schedule. Last year, IFC allocated a USD 14 million revolving credit line to m², out of which only USD 5 million was used. From the very first day that m² appeared on the real estate market, the company has been actively cooperating with international financial institutions and has obtained funding due to its credibility and sustainability. Development company m² is now busy elaborating a new plan concerning adaptation of new constructing projects for people with physical disabilities
m² and the non-governmental organization ‘Coalition for Independent Life’ have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. As a result of this Memorandum, the company becomes the first developer in the country to elaborate and introduce a universal design, in the form of adopted standards which are in concordance with all existing norms. This enables m² to meet all necessary requirements for the people with physical disabilities while planning construction projects. The abovementioned plan allows planning the residential and commercial areas in such a way that they avoid any obstacles and maximize adaptation opportunities for any person.
In the process of elaborating the plan, the ‘Coalition for Independent Life’, having extensive experience of work with people with physical disabilities, will conduct consultations to the developing company m². The plan will be based on the adopted by UN, December 13, 2006, ‘Convention on the Protection of the Right of People with Physical Disabilities’, which envisions the provision of all necessary measures for people with physical disabilities with the aim to assist their independent life and full participation in all spheres. The abovementioned plan will be drawn up as a manual and any architectural company will be able to use it. The plan will be suitable for premises as well as for the yard and interiors. The plan will also include the designing of bathrooms, switches, doors and other interior elements, adapted for people with physical disabilities.
‘The Coalition for Independent Life’ will also carry out monitoring of the new construction projects of the company m² within the process of construction and its completion. Upon completion of the construction, the complex will be awarded a certificate on complete adaptation of conditions for people with physical disabilities.
The aim of m², in the frames of current and future projects, is to ensure the establishment of comfortable, healthy and safe environment including the adaptation of the environment for people with physical disabilities. In the frames of social responsibility, the company m² has already financed a complete adaptation of Vazha-Pshavela Avenue in Tbilisi for people with physical disabilities, by installing a total of 183 ramps. Other 107 ramps were installed on Kazbegi Avenue. The execution of the given projects became possible with the support of ‘The Tree of Life’ fund.

We are glad to inform you, that today, on 20 June, Supervision Department of the Tbilisi City Hall has confirmed the commission document of the residential complex m² at Hippodrome.
The construction was completed 4 months ahead of schedule. Final handover is scheduled in July, through the order of the blocks.

m² has announced the second issue of bonds
Today, m² has announced the second emission of bonds. Customers will again have a great opportunity to manage their money better. The first set of bonds were emitted in April, 2014 and were fully placed within one month. However, customers’ demand exceeded the supply.
The volume of new one-year bonds denominated in USD constitutes to 10 million US dollars with nominal value of one bond being USD 1000. Any customer willing to invest his/her own free resources in these bonds will get annual interest rate 8.42% (before tax).

m² at Hippodrome - Construction is done
12 June, 2014, to celebrate construction completion, m2 invited journalists and partners at m² at Hippodrome.
Chairman of the Supervisory Board Irakli Burdiladze thanked all who contributed to the complex construction process. Journalists had a tour through the complex.

The Dutch development bank FMO issued a credit line of USD 20 million for m². Out of this facility the company drew down only USD 10 million, which was repaid ahead of the schedule.

Social Responsibility strategy of m²
“m² Real Estate” stated about the social responsibility strategy. Environment protection, creating adapted environment for the disabled and supporting local educational institutions – these are the three main fields within the social responsibility strategy of the company.
This year, the first project of social responsibility was implemented on Nutsubidze str. near the construction site of m², at school No.126. Company renovated and equipped the computer classes, library and reading room. Also refurbished the sports playground. To encourage children to read and learn in pleasant environment, m² also decorated the reading room and donated books to the library.

High pace of the construction
Construction work on m² at Hippodrome is proceeding at a high pace. Out of the 9 blocks to be built, the carcass of 7 blocks is already completed and roofed. Georgian representative office of German HeidelbergConcrete has already delivered over 27,000 cubic meters of concrete to the construction site. The carcass of the remaining 2 blocks is planned to be completed by the end of May of this year.

Construction work on m² at the Hippodrome residential complex is proceeding at a high pace
Construction work at m² at the Hippodrome“ residential complex, which started on April 2, 2012, is proceeding at a high pace. For the time being, over 17,000 m³ of concrete has been poured and about 40,000 m² carcass has been built, making more than 62% of the total construction area of the complex.
m² at the Hippodrome, located in 13, Tamarashvili street, on the territory of the former Hippodrome, is comprised of 9 independent blocks. Living areas of the apartments in the residential complex range from 47 m² to 172 m², however, changes can possibly be made to the plan of any apartment, based on the client request. The apartment owners‘ taste will be considered for interior design. Top quality construction materials are used for construction of the complex. At the same time, an international engineering-consulting company is monitoring the construction process. m² at Hippodrom will be accepted in exploitation at the end of October, 2014, turn key.

Construction of „m² Chubinashvili” has been completed
The residential complex „m² Chubinashvili” located at #68 Chubinashvili street, Tbilisi has already been completed. From August 17, 2012 the company started partial hand-over of the apartments which are under renovation right now. The complex consists of 123 apartments.

Building-4: The foundation plate has been covered with concrete
Building-5: The columns and the diaphragm of the second floor are being armed. 80% of the parking area between the above-mentioned buildings is completed
Building 6: Flooring of the first floor is undergoing
Building 7: The foundation plate and the columns have been completed. The concrete layer will be put on the floor of the first storey till the end of July
Building-9: digging works have been launched and the foundation plate will be laid on till the end of July.

Construction of “m² at Hippodrome” took a start
“m² at Hippodrome” is a new construction project of the “m² Real Estate”. Construction of the new residential complex at #13 Tamarashvil has already been launched near the former hippodrome territory, in the very center of the city and what’s more important, very close to the nature and greenery. Fully renovated apartments of up-to-date design will be handed over to their tenants in September, 2014.
