m² TO FINANCE THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SMALL FAMILY HOUSE FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES

Since 2015, the Georgian Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Protection has been working actively on the 'Protection of Children with Disabilities' project, implemented with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
The reform includes the creation of specialized family-type services for children with severe and profound disabilities or health problems, where it will be possible to provide care, upbringing and services necessary for their individual development in conditions that closely resembles the family setting. The "UNICEF" and "USAID" are assisting the state in implementing the reform. This year, the m² development company has joined the project, and will fully finance the construction of the aforementioned family home.
The United Nations Children's Fund has expressed its readiness to hand over to the state, with the assistance of USAID, a small family-type house by the end of 2016, which will be adapted and fully adjusted to the needs of children with disabilities. The house will accommodate children currently in state care who live in the orphanage on Nutsubidze Street.
Caring for people with special needs and taking their interests into account is also a priority for the m² development company, which has expressed its readiness to participate in the “Protection of Children with Disabilities” project. The company m² undertakes to finance the construction of a small family house for children with disabilities and allocate a substantial amount. A special memorandum between the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Protection of Georgia and the m² development company will be signed in the near future.
By prior agreement, the company will provide for the construction of a small family-type house, which will be ready in early 2017.
