m² MASTER CLASS FOR STUDENTS

The company m² Real Estate organized a master class for students on the topic – "Harmonious Urban Solution in Modern Construction".
The master class was held at Melikishvili #10, at the site of the planned construction. The students of Georgian Technical University majoring in construction and architecture, interested people from other universities, and also media representatives attended the master class. The main goal of the event was to share the unique practical experience along with theoretical knowledge with future architects. The program was led by Gogothur Misriashvili, expert of architecture and restoration works and Irakli Sharashidze, an architect, author of the project.
The main topic of the master class – "Harmonious Urban Solution in Modern Construction" was the building adaptation model which covered the following issues: architectural synthesis of old and new buildings and preservation of the current appearance, conservation of architectural masterpieces, demonstration of samples, restoration plan and analogues of similar adaptations in the modern architecture. At the master class, the experts presented future functional and economic benefits of the building.
The students and media were allowed to tour the construction site, following all the safety regulations.
Even though the current building at Melikishvili street does not have a status of the historical building, m² is considering the architectural specifications of the building, its integration with other buildings on the street and facilities of the neighborhood and plans to renovate the building without losing its external look and maintain the major details.
m² Real Estate, within its corporate social responsibility policy plans to organize similar master classes for other people who are also interested in the topic. Besides, the company will give the students opportunity to observe the construction and restoration process at various stages to have a full understanding of how this type of projects are implemented.
