m² AT MELIKISHVILI
Harmony and Urban Solution – Two Centuries in one Building
An architectural synthesis of XX and XXI centuries – a new, 12-storied complex will be located at Melikishvili #10.
The new building will accommodate an international hotel Ramada by Wyndham with 125 rooms and 16 residential apartments.
The project is a unique example how an old building can be adapted and given a new life. It will be rehabilitated in a constructivism style: the details will be conserved, the building reconstructed and the elements restored.
Built in 1930, it was the first city institute of Tuberculosis in Tbilisi.
Architecture of the building unites the modesty characteristic to constructivism style, functionality and unique Georgian historic architectural elements. The main facade of the building is asymmetric in terms of art decoration as well as height, which is the signature of its architect K. A. Leontiev.
Even though the building at Melikishvili Avenue has no status of a historical monument, the company m² will still take into account its architectural peculiarities, integration with neighboring buildings and facilities and will rehabilitate the building maintaining the old look of its facade and interior.
Corporate social responsibility in the development include:
• Architectural surveys, analysis and architectural rehabilitation project.
• Master classes for students; practical work courses.
The investment value of the project is USD 16 million.
